Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

The self power of a clamped circular plate. An analytical estimation

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2003
A low frequency approximation for the self power of a clamped crcular plate is presented in a form useful for some efficient numerical computations. The approximation is precise enough within nearly the whole low frequency range.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Analysis of downwind sail structures using non-linear shell finite elements: wrinkle development and fluid interaction effects

open access: yes, 2012
Downwind yacht sails are subjected to fluid structure interaction effects which can slightly change the initial design shape, with a direct impact on the overall performances.

HYDRODYNAMIC STABILITY OF A FLUID LAYER FLOWING DOWN A ROTATING INCLINED PLANE

open access: yes, 1992
The linear stability of a fluid layer flowing down a rotating inclined plant is investigated. The analysis leads to a system of two coupled ordinary differential equations that generalizes the well-known Orr-Sommerfeld equation.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

A Simplified Two-Fluid Model Based on Equilibrium Closure for a Dilute Dispersion of Small Particles

open access: yesMathematics
Two-fluid formalisms that fully account for all complex inter-phase interactions have been developed based on a rigorous ensemble-averaging procedure. Here, we apply equilibrium approximation to particle velocity to simplify two-phase flow equations for ...

On the Gaussian approximation in colloidal hard sphere fluids

open access: yesSoft Matter, 2016
We study the behaviour of the self-intermediate scattering function and self-van Hove correlation function for quasi-two-dimensional colloidal hard sphere fluids at a range of area fractions. We compute these functions first directly from the particle coordinates and secondly from the mean squared displacement via the Gaussian approximation.
