Tumor microenvironment drives cancer formation and progression. We analyzed the role of human cancer‐associated adipocytes from patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC) stratified as lean, overweight, or obese. RNA‐seq demonstrated that, among the most altered genes involved in the tumor–stroma crosstalk, are ADAM12 and CYP1B1, which were proven to be ...

Characterization of dynamic stall of a wind turbine airfoil with a high Reynolds number [PDF]
This study shows an extensive analysis of dynamic stall on wind turbine airfoils, preparing for the development of a reduced-order model applicable to thick airfoils (t/c>0.21) in the future.

Experimental observation of shear thickening oscillation
We report experimental observation of the shear thickening oscillation, i.e. the spontaneous macroscopic oscillation in the shear flow of severe shear thickening fluid.

Causality and existence of solutions of relativistic viscous fluid dynamics with gravity [PDF]
A new approach is described to help improve the foundations of relativistic viscous fluid dynamics and its coupling to general relativity. Focusing on neutral conformal fluids constructed solely in terms of hydrodynamic variables, we derive the most ...

Large multidimensional digital images of cancer tissue are becoming prolific, but many challenges exist to automatically extract relevant information from them using computational tools. We describe publicly available resources that have been developed jointly by expert and non‐expert computational biologists working together during a virtual hackathon

The dynamics of quantum fluids
We review experimental and theoretical progress in the physical description of the dynamics of the quantum fluids \he4 and \he3. Historically, the elementary excitations in these systems have been identified as phonons and rotons and, in \he3, collective zero sound and spin-fluctuations.

Cerebrospinal fluid dynamics and intracranial pressure elevation in neurological diseases
The fine balance between the secretion, composition, volume and turnover of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is strictly regulated. However, during certain neurological diseases, this balance can be disrupted.

Plane waves in noncommutative fluids
We study the dynamics of the noncommutative fuid in the Snyder space perturbatively at the first order in powers of the noncommutative parameter. The linearized noncommutative fluid dynamics is described by a system of coupled linear partial differential

Clinical significance of stratifying prostate cancer patients through specific circulating genes
We tested a specific panel of genes representative of luminal, neuroendocrine and stem‐like cells in the blood of prostate cancer patients, showing predictive value from diagnosis to late stages of disease. This approach allows monitoring of treatment responses and outcomes at specific time points in trajectories.
