NOVEL ELECTROSTATIC WIND ENERGY CONVERTER: AN OVERVIEW
The article discusses the historical development and embodiments of the concept of generating electricity from wind energy without the use of wind turbines, so called electrostatic bladeless generators or generators without moving parts.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Variable Size Twin-Rotor Wind Turbine
The paper presents a new concept of a vertical axis wind turbine. The idea is focused on small wind turbines, and therefore, the dominating quality is safety. Another important necessary feature is efficient operation at small winds.

Flow detectors having mechanical oscillators, and use thereof in flow characterization systems [PDF]
An improved system (100), resonator flow detector (102) and method for characterizing a fluid sample that includes o injecting a fluid sample into a mobile phase of a flow characterization system (106), and detecting a property of the fluid sample > or ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

LARGE-EDDY SIMULATIONS OF PARTICLE-LADEN TURBULENT JETS
The work presents an application of Large-Eddy Simulation (LES) for turbulent two-phase flows with dispersed particles. For the simulations of the continuous phase (fluid), an academic, finite volume LES solver was applied and customised. For comparison

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Fluid flow meter for measuring the rate of fluid flow in a conduit [PDF]
A tube fluid flow rate meter consists of a reservoir divided by flexible diaphragm into two separate isolated compartments. The incoming and outgoing tubes open into the compartments. The orifice is sized to allow maximum tube fluid flow.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Direct numerical simulation of pattern formation in subaqueous sediment
We present results of direct numerical simulation of incompressible fluid flow over a thick bed of mobile, spherically-shaped particles. The algorithm is based upon the immersed boundary technique for fluid-solid coupling and uses a soft-sphere model for
