Oxygen-isotope and trace element constraints on the origins of silica-rich melts in the subarc mantle [PDF]
Peridotitic xenoliths in basaltic andesites from Batan island in the Luzon arc contain silica-rich (broadly dacitic) hydrous melt inclusions that were likely trapped when these rocks were within the upper mantle wedge underlying the arc.

PRESERVATION OF MICROBORINGS AS FLUID INCLUSIONS [PDF]
In this study, we identify endolithic microbial borings preserved as fluid inclusions in Pennsylvanian and Permian brachiopods from the subsurface of western Kansas. Endolithic microbial boring is a new biologically controlled mode of formation for inclusion vacuoles.

Determination of total contents of fluid inclusions in quartz using modal analysis: Examples from Proterozoic rocks and ore deposits in Finland [PDF]
A modified linear measurement procedure following Rosiwal's method to determine the total volume contents of fluid inclusions in minerals is described. The contents were determined from quartz crystals and grains in 13 Proterozoic rock and ore specimens ...

Fluid evolution in an Oceanic Core Complex: a fluid inclusion study from IODP hole U1309 D - Atlantis Massif, 30°N, Mid-Atlantic Ridge [PDF]
In the detachment mode of slow seafloor spreading, convex-upward detachment faults take up a high proportion of the plate separation velocity exposing gabbro and serpentinized peridotite on the seafloor. Large, long-lived hydrothermal systems such as TAG
