Hydrocarbon Charge History of the Upper Paleozoic, Ordos Basin as Revealed by Fluid Inclusions

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2022
The petrographic characteristics of fluid inclusions of the main gas-bearing intervals of the Upper Paleozoic in the Ordos Basin are analyzed by means of plane-polarized light, fluorescence microscopy, and microthermometry. With the burial history of the

Evolution of the volcanic plumbing systemof Alicudi (Aeolian Islands - Italy): evidence from fluid and melt inclusionsin quartz xenoliths

open access: yesAnnals of Geophysics, 2004
Quartz-rich xenoliths in lavas (basalts to andesites; 90-30 ka) from Alicudi contain abundant melt and fluid inclusions. Two generations of CO2-rich fluid inclusions are present in quartz-rich xenolith grains: early (Type I) inclusions related to partial

Fluid Charging and Gas Reservoir Pressure Evolution of Longmaxi Formation Shale in Southeastern Chongqing

open access: yesGeofluids, 2022
Fluid charging and formation pressure evolution are of great significance for shale gas exploration and development. Taking the Longmaxi formation shale in southeast Chongqing as the research object, the fluid activity and pressure evolution process were

Raman Spectra Characteristics of Fluid Inclusion in the Shaanxi Formation of the Dingbian Area in the Ordos Basin

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2015
Raman Spectroscopy is an important means of non-destructive fluid inclusions analysis. Composition of fluid inclusions in quartz from the Shaanxi formation of the Dingbian area in the Ordos Basin was determined by the Raman technique.

Correlated dynamics of inclusions in a supported membrane [PDF]

open access: yesPhys Rev E 82, 041912 (2010), 2010
The hydrodynamic theory of heterogeneous fluid membranes is extended to the case of a membrane adjacent to a solid substrate. We derive the coupling diffusion coefficients of pairs of membrane inclusions in the limit of large separation compared to the inclusion size.

PRESERVATION OF MICROBORINGS AS FLUID INCLUSIONS [PDF]

open access: yesThe Canadian Mineralogist, 2004
In this study, we identify endolithic microbial borings preserved as fluid inclusions in Pennsylvanian and Permian brachiopods from the subsurface of western Kansas. Endolithic microbial boring is a new biologically controlled mode of formation for inclusion vacuoles.

Dynamics of membranes with immobile inclusions [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. Lett. 107, 258102 (2011), 2011
Cell membranes are anchored to the cytoskeleton via immobile inclusions. We investigate the effect of such anchors on the in-plane dynamics of a fluid membrane and mobile inclusions (proteins) embedded in it. The immobile particles lead to a decreased diffusion coefficient of mobile ones and suppress the correlated diffusion of particle pairs.

The Accumulation Characteristics of the Paleozoic Reservoir in the Central-Southern Ordos Basin Recorded by Organic Inclusions

open access: yesGeofluids, 2021
The Permian tight clastic reservoir and Ordovician carbonate reservoir were developed in the central-southern Ordos Basin. This study investigated the fluid inclusion petrography, diagenetic fluid characteristics, formation process of natural gas ...

Determination of total contents of fluid inclusions in quartz using modal analysis: Examples from Proterozoic rocks and ore deposits in Finland [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Geological Society of Finland, 1989
A modified linear measurement procedure following Rosiwal's method to determine the total volume contents of fluid inclusions in minerals is described. The contents were determined from quartz crystals and grains in 13 Proterozoic rock and ore specimens ...

Towards an Exact Mechanical Analogy of Particles and Fields [PDF]

open access: yesNuov.Cim. 111A, N5, pp.501-511 (1998), 1999
An exact analogy of electromagnetic fields and particles can be found in continuum mechanics of a turbulent perfect fluid with voids. Deviations of the turbulence from a homogeneous isotropic state correspond to electromagnetic fields: with the average pressure as electrostatic potential, the average fluid velocity as magnetic vector potential and the ...
