Modelling of the rise and absorption of a fluid inclusion [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2018
Abstract The buoyancy-driven rise of a small single fluid inclusion in a viscous liquid that is enclosed in a container of the cylindrical shape is numerically modelled. It is additionally assumed that the inclusion is slowly absorbed by the surrounding liquid.

The power of microRNA regulation—insights into immunity and metabolism

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
MicroRNAs are emerging as crucial regulators at the intersection of metabolism and immunity. This review examines how miRNAs coordinate glucose and lipid metabolism while simultaneously modulating T‐cell development and immune responses. Moreover, it highlights how cutting‐edge artificial intelligence applications can identify miRNA biomarkers ...

Using Laser Raman Microprobe and Fused Silica Capillaries to Determine Salinity of Fluid Inclusions

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2013
Salinity is one of the most important parameters of fluid inclusions. The salinity of fluid inclusions can be measured quickly and accurately by using a Laser Raman Microprobe.

Hydrothermal alteration, mineralization and fluid inclusions in the Pista and Fofão prospects: implications for the genetic model of the Coringa polymetallic deposit, SE Tapajós Mineral Province, Amazonian Craton, Brazil

open access: yesJournal of the Geological Survey of Brazil, 2020
Pista and Fofão are a prospect located near the main orebodies of the Coringa polymetallic deposit, in southeastern Tapajós Mineral Province of the Amazonian Craton. In both prospects, the mineralization is hosted in an Orosirian alkali feldspar granite,

Explicit spatial description of fluid inclusions in porous matrices in terms of an inhomogeneous integral equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We study the fluid inclusion of both Lennard-Jones particles and particles with competing interaction ranges --short range attractive and long range repulsive (SALR)-- in a disordered porous medium constructed as a controlled pore glass in two dimensions.

Impermeability through a perforated domain for the incompressible 2D Euler equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We study the asymptotic behavior of the motion of an ideal incompressible fluid in a perforated domain. The porous medium is composed of inclusions of size $\varepsilon$ separated by distances $d_\varepsilon$ and the fluid fills the exterior.

Experimental tests on achieving equilibrium in synthetic fluid inclusions: Results for scheelite, molybdenite, and gold solubility at 800 °C and 200 MPa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Synthetic fluid inclusions formed in high P-T experiments, which are subsequently analyzed with LA-ICP-MS, enable us to collect thermodynamic data to constrain metal transport in aqueous fluids as well as partitioning of metals between coexisting phases.

Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

Dynamics of Force Dipoles in Curved Biological Membranes [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. Fluids 7, 093101 (2022), 2021
We construct a model to explore the hydrodynamic interactions of active inclusions in curved biological membranes. The curved membrane is modelled as a two dimensional layer of highly viscous fluid, surrounded by external solvents of different viscosities. The active inclusions are modelled as point force dipoles.
