Dual-Wavelength Fluorescence Polarization Immunoassay for Simultaneous Detection of Sulfonamides and Antibacterial Synergists in Milk [PDF]

open access: yesBiosensors, 2022
Combinations of sulfonamides (SAs) and antibacterial synergists (ASGs) are frequently used for treating infectious diseases and promoting growth for animals, which cause potential hazards to food safety and human health.

Increased ammonification, nitrogenase, soil respiration and microbial biomass N in the rhizosphere of rice plants inoculated with rhizobacteria

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Agriculture, 2021
Azospirillum brasilense and Pseudomonas fluoresceins are well-known plant growth promoting rhizobacteria. However, the effects of A. brasilense and P. fluoresceins on the N cycles in the paddy field and rice plant growth are little known.

Developmental Validation of a Rapidly Mutating Y-STR Panel Labeled by Six Fluoresceins for Forensic Research

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2022
The male-specific region of the human Y chromosome is a useful genetic marker for genealogical searching, male inheritance testing, and male DNA mixture deconvolution in forensic studies.

Transmittance of electronic effects in the fluorescein molecule: nitro and amino groups in the phthalic acid residue

open access: yesВісник Харківського національного університету: Серія xімія, 2021
This paper is aimed to estimate the transmittance of the electronic effects in the fluorescein molecule between the phthalic acid residue and the xanthene moiety.

Determination of fluorescein and fluorescein monoglucuronide excreted in urine.

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 1980
A simple method for the fluorometric determination of fluorescein and fluorescein monoglucuronide in urine was developed. Free fluorescein was determined by measuring its native fluorescence at 494 nm excitation and 516 nm emission. The conjugate was determined as fluorescein after hydrolysis at 37°for 20 min with β-glucuronidase.

Novel phthalocyanines activated by dim light for mosquito larva- and cell-inactivation with inference for their potential as broad-spectrum photodynamic insecticides.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
Mosquitoes are significant vectors, responsible for transmitting serious infectious diseases, including the recent epidemics of global significance caused by, for example, Zika, Dengue and Chikungunya viruses.

Anaphylaxis with convulsions following intravenous fluorescein angiography at an outpatient clinic [PDF]

open access: yesEinstein (São Paulo), 2012
Fluorescein is associated with minor adverse effects during retinalangiography, and most of these effects are not severe and notrelated to immunological mechanism.

Thermostable neutral metalloprotease from Geobacillus sp. EA1 does not share thermolysin's preference for substrates with leucine at the P1′ position

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Knowing how proteases recognise preferred substrates facilitates matching proteases to applications. The S1′ pocket of protease EA1 directs cleavage to the N‐terminal side of hydrophobic residues, particularly leucine. The S1′ pocket of thermolysin differs from EA's at only one position (leucine in place of phenylalanine), which decreases cleavage ...

EMT‐associated bias in the Parsortix® system observed with pancreatic cancer cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The Parsortix® system was tested for CTC enrichment using pancreatic cancer cell lines with different EMT phenotypes. Spike‐in experiments showed lower recovery of mesenchymal‐like cells. This was confirmed with an EMT‐inducible breast cancer cell line.
