Dual-Wavelength Fluorescence Polarization Immunoassay for Simultaneous Detection of Sulfonamides and Antibacterial Synergists in Milk [PDF]
Combinations of sulfonamides (SAs) and antibacterial synergists (ASGs) are frequently used for treating infectious diseases and promoting growth for animals, which cause potential hazards to food safety and human health.

Determination of fluorescein and fluorescein monoglucuronide excreted in urine.
A simple method for the fluorometric determination of fluorescein and fluorescein monoglucuronide in urine was developed. Free fluorescein was determined by measuring its native fluorescence at 494 nm excitation and 516 nm emission. The conjugate was determined as fluorescein after hydrolysis at 37°for 20 min with β-glucuronidase.

Anaphylaxis with convulsions following intravenous fluorescein angiography at an outpatient clinic [PDF]
Fluorescein is associated with minor adverse effects during retinalangiography, and most of these effects are not severe and notrelated to immunological mechanism.

Knowing how proteases recognise preferred substrates facilitates matching proteases to applications. The S1′ pocket of protease EA1 directs cleavage to the N‐terminal side of hydrophobic residues, particularly leucine. The S1′ pocket of thermolysin differs from EA's at only one position (leucine in place of phenylalanine), which decreases cleavage ...

EMT‐associated bias in the Parsortix® system observed with pancreatic cancer cell lines
The Parsortix® system was tested for CTC enrichment using pancreatic cancer cell lines with different EMT phenotypes. Spike‐in experiments showed lower recovery of mesenchymal‐like cells. This was confirmed with an EMT‐inducible breast cancer cell line.
