Fluorescence Polarization Immunoassay of Progesterone.

open access: yesBiological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 1997
A homogeneous fluorescence polarization immunoassay (FPIA) was developed to measure levels of progesterone in urine using a TDx analyzer in photocheck mode (Abbott Labs). Two tracers of ethylenediamine fluorescein thiocarbamyl (EDF) were employed; one was synthesized from 11 alpha-hydroxyhemisuccinate progesterone (Prog-11OH-HS) and the other was ...

Study on Bioagents or Bioaerosols standoff detection by lidar

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
Scattering, fluorescence and polarization are the important data source for bioagent or bioaerosol time-space observation and identification. This paper stated and discussed the theory and data inversion principles for Mie scattering, laser induced ...

Detection of Anatoxin-a and Three Analogs in Anabaena spp. Cultures: New Fluorescence Polarization Assay and Toxin Profile by LC-MS/MS

open access: yesToxins, 2014
Anatoxin-a (ATX) is a potent neurotoxin produced by several species of Anabaena spp. Cyanobacteria blooms around the world have been increasing in recent years; therefore, it is urgent to develop sensitive techniques that unequivocally confirm the ...

Resonance Energy Transfer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Resonance energy transfer, also known as Förster- or fluorescence- resonance energy transfer, or electronic energy transfer, is a photonic process whose relevance in many major areas of science is reflected both by a wide prevalence of the effect and ...

Polarization-correlated photon pairs from a single ion

open access: yes, 2009
In the fluorescence light of a single atom, the probability for emission of a photon with certain polarization depends on the polarization of the photon emitted immediately before it.

Level sequence and splitting identification of closely-spaced energy levels by angle-resolved analysis of the fluorescence light

open access: yes, 2016
The angular distribution and linear polarization of the fluorescence light following the resonant photoexcitation is investigated within the framework of the density matrix and second-order perturbation theory.

Lipid thermotropic transitions in Triatoma infestans lipophorin.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1988
The structure and lipid thermotropic transitions of highly purified lipophorin of Triatoma infestans were examined by several techniques: steady-state fluorescence polarization of 1,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-hexatriene (DPH), cis-parinaric acid (cis-PnA) and ...

Tracking multiple conformations occurring on angstrom-and-millisecond scales in single amino-acid-transporter molecules

open access: yeseLife, 2023
Most membrane protein molecules undergo conformational changes as they transition from one functional state to another one. An understanding of the mechanism underlying these changes requires the ability to resolve individual conformational states, whose

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Heterogeneous transition metal–based fluorescence polarization (HTFP) assay for probing protein interactions

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2009
Analyses of protein interactions are fundamental for the investigation of molecular mechanisms responsible for cellular processes and diseases, as well as for drug discovery in the pharmaceutical industry.
