Treatment of crusted sarcoptic mange with fluralaner in a dog
Veterinary Record Case Reports, 2021Abstract A 4‐year‐old neutered male Lakeland terrier was presented for evaluation of allergies and onset of new crusting skin lesions. The face, dorsum, limbs and paws were diffusely covered in crusts and adherent scaling. The dog was mildly to moderately pruritic.

Enantioselective Detection, Bioactivity, and Metabolism of the Novel Chiral Insecticide Fluralaner
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2020Fluralaner, a veterinary drug, is a potential chiral isoxazoline insecticide possessing high insecticidal and acaricidal activity. However, there is little information regarding the enantioselective effect of fluralaner. In this work, a promising chiral detection method was established with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry in agricultural ...

State-dependent inhibition of GABA receptor channels by the ectoparasiticide fluralaner
Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2022γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors (GABARs) are ligand-gated Cl- channels, which cause an influx of Cl- that inhibits excitation in postsynaptic cells upon activation. GABARs are important targets for drugs and pest control chemicals. We previously reported that the isoxazoline ectoparasiticide fluralaner inhibits GABA-induced currents in housefly ...

Selection for, and characterization of, fluralaner resistance in the house fly, Musca domestica
Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2023House flies, Musca domestica (L), are the mechanical vector of >100 human and animal pathogens, including those that are antibiotic-resistant. Given that house flies are associated closely with human and livestock activity, they present medical and veterinary health concerns.

Mechanisms of fluralaner antagonism of GABA receptors: A review
Pesticide Biochemistry and PhysiologyIonotropic γ-aminobutyric acid receptors (GABARs) of arthropod pests are the targets of two major groups of insecticides: blockers (IRAC Group 2) and allosteric modulators (IRAC Group 30) of GABA-gated chloride channels. Fluralaner, an isoxazoline ectoparasiticide, acts as an allosteric modulator.

Insecticidal spectrum of fluralaner to agricultural and sanitary pests
Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology, 2017Abstract Fluralaner, as an isoxazoline insecticide, has been developed as antiparasitic (namely Bravecto®) with selective toxicity for insect versus mammals. Even though the toxic effect of fluralaner to several insects have been already examined, but also more agricultural and sanitary insects should be tested before it could be used widely.
