Prognostic Impact of Treatment Modalities, Including Targeted Compartmental Radio‐Immunotherapy, in a Cohort of Neuroblastoma Patients With CNS Metastases at Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

Metabolic Pathway Analysis in the Presence of Biological Constraints

open access: yesComputation, 2021
Metabolic pathway analysis is a key method to study a metabolism in its steady state, and the concept of elementary fluxes (EFs) plays a major role in the analysis of a network in terms of non-decomposable pathways.

Cosmic-ray composition with TACTIC telescope using Fractal and Wavelet Analysis

open access: yes, 2012
A preliminary flux estimate of various cosmic-ray constituents based on the atmospheric Cerenkov light flux of extensive air showers using fractal and wavelet analysis approach is proposed.

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

NetFlow: A tool for isolating carbon flows in genome-scale metabolic networks

open access: yesMetabolic Engineering Communications, 2021
1. Abstract: Genome-scale stoichiometric models (GSMs) have been widely utilized to predict and understand cellular metabolism. GSMs and the flux predictions resulting from them have proven indispensable to fields ranging from metabolic engineering to ...

On-disc observations of flux rope formation prior to its eruption [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Coronal mass ejections (CMEs) are one of the primary manifestations of solar activity and can drive severe space weather effects. Therefore, it is vital to work towards being able to predict their occurrence.

Clinical Characteristics and Prognostic Risk Factors for Pediatric B‐Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma: A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study for China Net Childhood Lymphoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background B‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (B‐LBL) represents a rare variety of non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, with limited research on its biology, progression, and management. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical characteristics of 256 patients aged ≤18 years who received treatment under the China Net Childhood Lymphoma (CNCL)‐

Interaction of sinking behaviour of Saharan dust and lithogenic and biogenic fluxes in the Canary Basin

open access: yesScientia Marina, 2019
Saharan dust events are currently the predominant source of lithogenic particles in the Canary Basin. In order to quantify this input and its relationship with the biogenic fluxes, a sediment trap was deployed in a free-drifting system at 150 m depth, 50

An improved algorithm for flux variability analysis

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2022
Flux balance analysis (FBA) is an optimization based approach to find the optimal steady state of a metabolic network, commonly of microorganisms such as yeast strains and Escherichia coli.
