Switched flux hybrid magnet memory machine
A novel switched flux permanent magnet machine (SFPMM) with both normal NdFeB and low coercive force (LCF) magnets has been developed in this paper. Outside a conventional SFPMM, the LCF magnets are mounted on the back of every U‐shaped stator lamination segment with parallel magnetisation direction and alternative polarities.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Uniformly Accelerated Mirrors. Part 1: Mean Fluxes
The Davies-Fulling model describes the scattering of a massless field by a moving mirror in 1+1 dimensions. When the mirror travels under uniform acceleration, one encounters severe problems which are due to the infinite blue shift effects associated ...

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Shuttle-promoted nano-mechanical current switch [PDF]
We investigate electron shuttling in three-terminal nanoelectromechanocal device built on a movable metallic rod oscillating between two drains. The device shows a double-well shaped electromechanical potential tunable by a source-drain bias voltage ...
