CHI '06 Extended Abstracts on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2006
In this paper, we present Fly, a prototype presentation system that adds a visual structure to presentations. Current presentation software, like PowerPoint, structure slides in a linear sequence. The Fly design introduces a spatial organization that is based on Mind Maps.

Proceedings of the SIGCHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2009
Modern presentation software is still built around interaction metaphors adapted from traditional slide projectors. We provide an analysis of the problems in this application genre that presentation authors face and present Fly, a presentation tool that is based on the idea of planar information structures.

Prediction Tool for Military Flying Operations Planning
2022Military flying operations performed in flexible airspace structures impact commercial air traffic. Analysis of the planning process is performed to define the crucial parts to develop the prediction tool. The process of military flight planning is determined by interactions, conditions, and limitations of the components: flight training syllabus ...

BISIMULATOR: A Modular Tool for On-the-Fly Equivalence Checking
2005The equivalence checking problem consists in verifying that a system (e.g., a protocol) matches its abstract specification (e.g., a service) by comparing their Labeled Transition Systems (Ltss) modulo a given equivalence relation. Two approaches are traditionally used to perform equivalence checking: global verification requires to construct the two ...

Heat of hydration of fly ash as a predictive tool
Fuel, 1997A test procedure based on heat of hydration was developed to assess more accurately the reactivity and behaviour of fly ash for utilization. The technique uses a Dewar flask or a modified oxygen bomb calorimeter to determine the temperature change and rate of change after the addition of water to fly ash.

VORD: A Versatile On-the-fly Race Detection Tool in OpenMP Programs
International Journal of Parallel Programming, 2013Shared-memory based parallel programming with OpenMP and Posix-thread APIs becomes more common to fully take advantage of multiprocessor computing environments. One of the critical risks in multithreaded programming is data races that are hard to debug and greatly damaging to parallel applications if they are uncaught.
