The authors describe a questionnaire survey of foot and mouth disease (FMD) and of FMD control by vaccination in sixty villages in northern Thailand. FMD was found to be common, with 90% of the villages surveyed reporting one or more outbreaks in the five years prior to interview, and 28% of villages reporting outbreaks every year.

Expression of bovine interleukin 15 and evaluation of its biological activity in vitro [PDF]
Background/Aim: Recent studies have shown that interleukin-15 (IL-15)is a critical factor for the development and proliferation of CD8+ memory T cells. The aim of present study is to study the role bovine IL-15 (bIL-15)in activation pathway of bovine CD8+

Effect of Clinoptilolite on Humoral Immunity and Biochemical Parameters in Calves Vaccinated with Foot and Mouth Disease Vaccine [PDF]
The foot and mouth disease (FMD) vaccine is used to control the FMD in cloven-hoofed animals including calves. The most important step in vaccine preparation is the selection of a suitable adjuvant which plays a main role in the vaccine’s potency.

Expression of biologically active bovine interleukin 7 and evaluating the activity in vitro [PDF]
Aim: Interleukin 7 (IL-7) is a ϒc family cytokine involved in the homeostatic proliferation and maintenance of immune cells. In the present study, we report the expression of bovine IL-7 (bIL-7) in Escherichia coli and evaluated for its biological ...
