Development of a Metalens for Radio Wave Ground-Penetrating Radars
This article discusses the possibility of using a metamaterial to focus radiation from an antenna for GPR. Composite ring conductors were used as a material for focusing radiation at frequencies of 0.5–3 GHz.

Abstract Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is an autosomal recessive hemoglobinopathy affecting millions of individuals worldwide. The clinical expression and psychosocial burden of SCD vary widely across geographical, cultural, and healthcare system contexts, underscoring the need for setting‐specific approaches to assessment.

Constructing spin-structured focal fields for chiral-sensitive trapping with dielectric metalens
Engineering the chiral field is crucial for the flexible manipulation of chiral particles. Some complex optical setups for constructing spin-structured fields have been well developed to sort particles with opposite chiralities toward opposite ...

Focusing of electromagnetic waves into a dielectric slab. II. Numerical results [PDF]
Based on existing exact and asymptotic Kirchhoff solutions for focused electromagnetic fields inside a dielectric slab we present numerical comparisons between them also for the special cases of focusing through a single interface or in a single medium ...

ABSTRACT Primary lung carcinomas and bronchial carcinoid tumors (BC) are very rare malignancies in childhood. While typical BC and mucoepidermoid carcinomas are mostly low‐grade, localized tumors with a more favorable prognosis than in adults, necessitating avoidance of overtreatment, adenocarcinomas of the lung are often diagnosed at advanced disease ...

Focusing limit of a cyclotron: Axial betatron instability against beam dynamics approach [PDF]
In an isochronous relativistic cyclotron, axial defocusing of a beam caused by the radial growth of the isochronous magnetic field is compensated by the azimuthal field gradient introduced by sectors.
