Potato Yields with Soil Systemic Plus Foliars and Foliars Alone, 1985

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1987
Abstract Two sets of plots on clay soils under dryland conditions (Grand Forks, ND, Crookston, MN) and one set on irrigated sand (Royalton, MN) were established for this trial. Individual plots were 4 rows × 30 ft in length replicated 4 times at each location and treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block.

ANTHECIAL AND FOLIAR MICROMORPHOLOGY AND FOLIAR ANATOMY OF BRACHIARIA (POACEAE: PANICEAE)

American Journal of Botany, 1986
In an examination of the generic boundaries of Brachiaria, ten anthecial patterns are recognized for the genus, eight for the first time. A smooth surface is proposed as the basic pattern from which the ornate patterns are produced. The laminar abaxial epidermis displays panicoid microcharacters.

Mapping foliar functional traits and their uncertainties across three years in a grassland experiment

Remote Sensing of Environment, 2019
Foliar functional traits refer to a range of biochemical and physiognomic characteristics of vegetation that control photosynthesis, nutrient and water cycling, and can be used to describe the functional diversity of ecosystems. In this study, we utilize

Foliar fertilization with Metalosates

Journal of Plant Nutrition, 1983
Abstract Two crops of wheat were grown in a calcareous sandy soil and with foliar sprays of synthetic chelates and Metalosates involving iron, zinc, manganese and copper. In the first crop test iron and manganese were absorbed more readily frcm the Metalosates than from the synthetic chelates.

FOLIAR SCLEREIDS IN THE MARCGRAVIACEAE

Acta Botanica Neerlandica, 1966
A survey is given of the types of the sclereids and the sclereid patterns occurring in the leaves of the Marcgraviaceae. Eight main categories of sclereids are distinguished on the base of the morphology of the sclereids. A comparison is made with the foliar sclereids found in some other families.

Effects of foliar application of selenate and selenite at different growth stages on Selenium accumulation and speciation in potato (Solanum tuberosum L.).

Food Chemistry, 2019
Since the potato is a new staple food in China, the production of selenium (Se)-enriched potato may be an effective approach for Se supplementation in Se-deficient populations.

Foliar and Stem Diseases

2014
Sixteen foliar and stem diseases including some sporadical diseases caused by fungi are described in this chapter. Among them Tan Spot, Spot blotch, Powdery mildew, three rusts, and two Septoria diseases are economically more important. As stated elsewhere, at present the occurrence of a new stem rust race Ug99 is causing a serious threat to wheat ...
