A CLE11b‐CLE16 Signaling Relay Mediates Root‐Shoot‐Root Crosstalk for Drought Adaptation in Common Bean

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel root‐shoot‐root signaling relay, mediated by CLE peptides, coordinates drought adaptation in common bean. Root‐derived PvCLE11b translocates acropetally to leaves, inducing PvCLE16 expression via PvTCP10. Leaf‐accumulated PvCLE16 triggers stomatal closure and translocates basipetally to modulate root architecture.

Integration of fertility management, cultivar selection and alternative spray treatments to optimize control of foliar diseases of greenhouse grown tomatoes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Powdery mildew caused by Leveillula taurica (Lev.) Arn. is one of the most serious foliar diseases of greenhouse and open field tomato. The disease is currently controlled with the use of organic fungicides and sulphur, the latter being the only product ...

Green Peach Aphid Control With Foliar Sprays, 1995 [PDF]

open access: yesArthropod Management Tests, 1996
Abstract Experimental plots were established on the UI Research and Extension Center, Kimberly, Idaho. Potatoes were planted on 25 Apr and irrigated by solid set sprinkler. The soil type was Portneuf silt loam. Four treatments and one untreated check plot were replicated four times in a RCB design. Individual treatment plots were 4 rows (

Preharvest potassium silicate treatments influence the morphological appearance and enhance nutritional composition of almond kernels

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND The almond industry requires new strategies to improve almond kernel quality. The use of biostimulants such as potassium silicate (KSi) is an eco‐friendly and non‐polluting alternative. The aim of this work was to investigate the preharvest application of KSi solutions at 2 and 20 mmol L−1 to ‘Peraleja’ almond trees during two ...

CO2 Fluxes and Soil Responses to Straw and Herbicide in Peanut

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Peanut cultivation plays an important agronomic role in Brazil, especially in rotation with sugarcane, promoting biological nitrogen fixation and improving soil quality. This study aimed to test the hypothesis that the combined use of sugarcane mulch, peanut cultivation, and herbicide application would affect soil CO₂ fluxes, soil chemical ...

Investigating the impact of oligo-chitosan on the growth dynamics and yield traits of Oryza sativa L. ‘BRRI dhan29’ under subtropical conditions

open access: yesHeliyon
Reducing the harmful chemical use along with obtaining potential yield in field is a worth exploring practice in rice cultivation. To mitigate the prevailing yield gap, the current study was designed to evaluate the effect of chitosan in improving growth,
