Dissecting Cellulitis and Hidradenitis Suppurativa: Two Diseases or One Follicular‐Occlusion Spectrum?

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
Graphical abstract summarizing evidence that dissecting cellulitis of the scalp (DC) and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) may represent site‐modified expressions of a shared follicular‐occlusion pathway, highlighting convergent clinical, histopathologic, and therapeutic features, the diagnostic‐context paradox, and the need for paired molecular studies ...

Scalp Dysesthesia: Emerging Pathophysiologic Insights and Therapeutic Implications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
Scalp dysesthesia is a chronic condition diagnosed through exclusion. Tissue Resident Memory Cells: Friend or Foe?

open access: yesImmunology, EarlyView.
Tissue‐resident memory T cells (TRM cells) are specialised immune cells in barrier tissues like the lungs, skin and gut, providing rapid host defence and tumour surveillance. Their retention and differentiation are regulated by molecules such as CD69, CD103 and TGF‐β. Dysregulation of TRM cells can lead to chronic activation, driving conditions such as

Delphi consensus: First‐line use of biologics and small molecules in hidradenitis suppurativa

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
This Delphi Consensus study identified upgrade criteria for the use of biologics and small molecules as first‐line therapy in hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). European HS experts evaluated 16 clinical scenarios, voting on eligibility for therapy escalation.

European S2k guidelines for hidradenitis suppurativa/acne inversa Part 1. Epidemiology, diagnosis and clinical assessment

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
Updated S2k hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) guidelines provide expert consensus on diagnosis, assessment and comorbidities. Expanded substantially since the 2015 version, they reflect rapid growth in HS literature and aim to improve generalist‐level patient care through evidence‐informed, consensus‐based guidance.
