Abstract A domestic shorthair cat was presented with lethargy and inappetence. Abdominal ultrasound revealed a large jejunal mural mass with diffuse wall thickening without loss of wall layering, severe jejunal lymphadenopathy, and moderate peritoneal effusion.

Hypothyroidism resulting from follicular‐compact thyroid carcinoma in a dog
Abstract A 13‐year‐old, spayed, female beagle, weighing 21 kg, was presented with a cervical nodule that had appeared about 15 days earlier. On palpation, a firm, slightly mobile mass measuring approximately 4 cm in diameter was detected in the thyroid region.

Cathepsin L (CTSL) acts as a context‐dependent facilitator of tumour progression rather than a universal oncogenic driver. CTSL's pro‐tumorigenic functions are critically evaluated alongside its inherent biochemical constraints and family‐wide redundancy.
