Follicular dendritic cells: dynamic antigen libraries

Nature Reviews Immunology, 2014
Follicular dendritic cells (FDCs) are essential for high-affinity antibody production and for the development of B cell memory. Historically, FDCs have been characterized as 'accessory' cells that passively support germinal centre (GC) responses. However, recent observations suggest that FDCs actively shape humoral immunity.

Follicular lymphoma dynamics

2021
Follicular lymphoma (FL) is an indolent yet challenging disease. Despite a generally favorable response to immunochemotherapy regimens, a fraction of patients does not respond or relapses early with unfavorable prognosis. For the vast majority of those who initially respond, relapses will repeatedly occur with increasing refractoriness to available ...

Follicular dynamics in Mangalarga mares

Equine Veterinary Journal, 1997
Summary Ovarian follicular activity was studied by ultrasonography during 17 oestrous cycles in 9 Mangalarga mares during the second half of the ovulatory season. Sixteen oestrous cycles were considered normal and one 3‐wave cycle showing a prolonged luteal phase was considered atypical.

Hormonal Dynamics During Luteal-Follicular Transition*

The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 1987
To gain insights into the neuroendocrine basis for the initiation of folliculogenesis, the hormonal dynamics during the period from the late luteal to the early follicular phase of the menstrual cycle (the luteal-follicular transition) were examined.
