AbstractChromoblastomycosis (CBM) is a fungal infection caused by fungi belonging to the order Chaetothyriales, and caused mainly by Fonsecaea pedrosoi. The classic treatment, based on itraconazole and/or terbinafine as well as physical approaches, is considered complex and ineffective due to the high rate of relapses.
