Food Handlers in the Army and Their Relationship to Salmonella Food Poisoning

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Public Health and the Nations Health, 1943
THE role of the food handler in enteric disease transmission has been extensively studied, but due to the complexity of the factors involved, coupled with inadequate knowledge and means for the detection of dangerous disease carriers, there is a tendency generally to consider them to be of less importance than other factors involved.

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.
