Gemcitabine resistance remains a major challenge in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. This study identifies STYK1 as a key mediator of chemoresistance through autophagy‐dependent maintenance of cancer stemness. Gemcitabine‐activated AMPK phosphorylates STYK1 at Ser91 and Ser304, enhancing autophagy and stemness.

A regenerative strategy for stroke combines human stem cell–derived neural progenitor cells with sustained release of a matrix‐modifying, thermostable chondroitinase ABC‐37 enzyme. In a rat model of stroke, co‐delivery enhanced transplanted cell survival and neuronal differentiation, degraded inhibitory extracellular matrix components, and improved ...

Measuring Food Safety Culture in Food Manufacturing
This thesis is an investigation of. This body of work introduces five capability areas that food manufacturers should be aware of and willing to be measured against in order to understand strengths and weaknesses in their food safety culture. The capability areas are based on theories of organizational culture, food science, and social cognitive ...

A multifunctional HA‐conjugated nanoplatform (HA‐PGMC) integrates CuO2, glucose oxidase, and mil‐100 to enable cascade catalytic ROS generation in tumor microenvironments. This self‐supplying ROS strategy induces immunogenic cell death, reprograms “cold” tumors into “hot” ones, and synergizes with PD‐L1 blockade, achieving potent chemodynamic ...

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.
