Endothelial PD‐1 Regulates Vascular Homeostasis and Oligodendrogenesis during Brain Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Vascular endothelial cells are fundamental for angiogenesis and brain development. This study reveals that endothelial programmed cell death 1 (PD‐1) is critical for cerebral angiogenesis and blood brain barrier (BBB) maturation. It also mediates interaction with oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs), modulating OPCs differentiation and myelination ...

New Insights into Heavy Metal Sequestration Through Metal‐Phenolic Network‐Confined Nano‐HFO: Overlooking Iron Utilization and Modulating Electron Density

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Iron‐based nanocomposites are widely used for trace heavy metal removal, but the low utilization of HFO nanoparticles remains a challenge. Here, a metal‐phenolic network (MPN) strategy is proposed to confine nano‐HFO within polystyrene beads, creating a negative electrostatic field and optimizing electron density at oxygen sites. This approach enhances

Porous Aromatic Framework with Multifunctional Sites for Effective Recovery of Various Trace Iodine Species From Water

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A PAF adsorbent with multifunctional sites framework is developed for the recovery of environment iodine. Benefiting from the high density and accessibility of the favorable Coulomb interaction sites for iodide (I3− and I−) as well as the charge transfer sites for iodine molecules (I2), the PAF adsorbent realizes recording adsorption capacity for ...

Generation of a High‐Precision Whole Liver Panorama and Cross‐Scale 3D Pathological Analysis for Hepatic Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using the MOSTtechnology and whole‐liver Nissl staining method, a multi‐structural 3D pathological panorama of liver fibrosis is obtained. The damaged sinusoids, steatotic hepatocytes, and collagen deposition are all concentrated in pericentral areas.
