Adhesion‐Related Macrophages Regulate Metabolic Homeostasis Through CAV‐1 Dependency

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Adipose tissue harbors a distinct macrophage subpopulation, termed adhesion‐related macrophages (ARMs), which stably adhere to adipocytes. In obesity, ARMs represent the major expanding macrophage subset. They acquire material from adipocytes and rely on Caveolin‐1 for sustained lipid handling.

Management of Periapical Lesions due to Foreign Body Reaction: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, 2018
Background and purpose: Foreign bodies may be deposited in the periapical tissues either by traumatic injury or iatrogenically. The presence of an external object in the periapical tissue by creating a foreign body reaction can lead to endodontic failure.

The foreign body reaction

open access: yes, 2014

Novel Vascular‐Adaptive Liquid Metal Microspheres Enable Visualized Arterial Embolization Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present drug‐loaded liquid metal microspheres (X‐MEN) as a novel agent for image‐guided arterial embolization. With inherent radiopacity and superior deformability, X‐MEN enables real‐time monitoring and conforms tightly to irregular vessels. This approach ensures precise, long‐lasting embolization without recanalization, addressing critical ...

Biomimetic Cell Membrane‐Coated MOFs System for Targeted Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biomimetic MOF‐based drug delivery nanoplatforms synthesized using liposomes or cell membranes as camouflage for multiple cancer therapeutics. ABSTRACT The integration of metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) with cell membrane coatings has emerged as a revolutionary strategy to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of cancer nanomedicine.

Pediatric Hand Cyst with Metacarpal Bone Changes: An Embedded Tree Thorn Case

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Case Reports
Introduction: Retained foreign bodies in pediatric hand injuries are rare but can lead to significant complications if undiagnosed. Organic foreign bodies, such as tree thorns, are often radiolucent and may not be detected on plain radiographs, making ...
