DNA Replication Errors Drive Genome‐Wide Small Inverted Triplication Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study provides insight into the dynamic equilibrium mechanism of a novel structural variant, small inverted triplication (SIT), which is generated by misalignment of the 3’ flap generated under DNA replication stress with palindromic sequence. Alternatively, the end sequence may fold back on itself to form an inverted fragment.

A review of forest fragmentation in Indonesia under the DPSIR framework for biodiversity conservation strategies

open access: yesGlobal Ecology and Conservation
Indonesia, a global biodiversity hotspot, confronts escalating threats from land-use change, triggering extensive forest fragmentation and threatening biodiversity.

Targeting Incentives to Reduce Habitat Fragmentation [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper develops a theoretical model to analyze the spatial targeting of incentives for the restoration of forested landscapes when wildlife habitat can be enhanced by reducing fragmentation.

Adult Sex Ratio as a Demographic Feedback Linking Mating Systems, Parental Care, and Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Breeding systems are some of the most diverse social behavior, and our team is investigation the evolutionary causes of this diversity. This review summarises our research carried out at the University of Bath. We argue that demographic components of wild populations, especially the adult sex ratio, plays a key role driving breeding system variation ...

The Emerging Parkinson's Disease Oxylipin‐Ome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Parkinson Disease (PD) is increasingly considered a proteinopathy and lipidopathy. This proteinopathy+lipidopathy paradigm has been further refined to a fatty acid (FA)‐opathy, centering dysregulated FA metabolism as fundamental in PD lipid dysfunction.

A Nanobody‐LNP Platform for Targeting and Relicensing Dendritic Cells for Potent Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Plastin‐2 (PLS2) is identified as a dual‐function receptor on DCs that mediates both nanoparticle uptake and immunomodulation. A nanobody‐LNP platform is engineered to integrate antigen delivery with relicensing DCs. The therapeutic strategy elicits potent anti‐tumor T cell responses and leads to significant inhibition of established tumors in vivo ...

Gibbs distributions for random partitions generated by a fragmentation process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper we study random partitions of 1,...n, where every cluster of size j can be in any of w\_j possible internal states. The Gibbs (n,k,w) distribution is obtained by sampling uniformly among such partitions with k clusters.
