Controlled Formation of Skyrmion Bags

open access: yesAdvanced Materials
AbstractTopologically non‐trivial magnetic solitons are complex spin textures with a distinct single‐particle nature. Although magnetic skyrmions, especially those with unity topological charge, have attracted substantial interest due to their potential applications, more complex topological textures remain largely theoretical.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

A Decentralized Potential Field-Based Self-Organizing Control Framework for Trajectory, Formation, and Obstacle Avoidance of Fully Autonomous Swarm Robots

open access: yesRobotics
In this work, we propose a fully decentralized, self-organizing control framework for a swarm of autonomous ground mobile robots. The system integrates potential field-based mechanisms for simultaneous trajectory tracking, formation control, and obstacle

The conserved XPF:ERCC1-like Zip2:Spo16 complex controls meiotic crossover formation through structure-specific DNA binding. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In eukaryotic meiosis, generation of haploid gametes depends on the formation of inter-homolog crossovers, which enable the pairing, physical linkage, and eventual segregation of homologs in the meiosis I division.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Distributed Coordination D-Stabilization in Cyclic Pursuit Formations of Dynamical Multi-Agent Systems

open access: yesActuators
In this study, the cyclic pursuit formation stabilization problem in target-enclosing operations by multiple homogeneous dynamic agents is investigated.

Formation Control of Mobile Robots

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computers Communications & Control, 2006
A constructive method is presented to design cooperative controllers that force a group of N mobile robots to achieve a particular formation in terms of shape and orientation while avoiding collisions between themselves. The control development is based on new local potential functions, which attain the minimum value when the desired formation is ...
