The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Analysis of Geological Characteristics and Reservoir Potential Formation Damage Factors of Shallow Low‐Temperature Low‐Pressure Low‐Permeability Sandstone Reservoir

open access: yesEnergy Science & Engineering
The C‐S reservoir in the YQ district of Ordos basin, China, is located at a relatively shallow depth (240–720 m), with an original pressure coefficient of approximately 0.85 for the oil layer.

A Simple Analytical Approach to Simulate Underbalanced- drilling in Naturally Fractured Reservoirs—The Effect of Short Overbalanced Conditions and Time Effect

open access: yesEnergies, 2010
This paper describes an analytical approach to investigate the nature of short overbalanced conditions and time effects during underbalanced drilling (UBD) in a naturally fractured reservoir.

Residual-Oil-Induced Injectivity Impairment During PWRI

open access: yes, 2007
SPE paper 107865Injection of water with oily particles happens during waterflooding by re-injection of produced water (PWRI). The injected oily particles are captured by porous rock causing decrease of permeability and consequent injectivity decline ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Adsorption and Squeeze Performance of PAMAM-PGLU Inhibitors for Silicate Scale Mitigation Due to Asp Flooding

open access: yesPlatform, a Journal of Engineering
Silica and silicate scale deposition in the production systems resulted in reduced production rates and equipment damages. Chemical scale inhibition using squeeze method is advantageous for petroleum reservoir conditions.
