Finite-Time Anti-Saturated Formation Tracking Control of Multiple Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: A Performance Tuning Way

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
A highly effective control method is very important to guarantee the safety of the formation of flying missions for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), especially in the presence of complex flying environments and actuator constraints.

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Study on maintaining formations during satellite formation flying based on SDRE and LQR

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2017
Due to the influence of various perturbations of space, satellites flying in formation cannot maintain specific configurations for long durations [1, 2]. In order to ensure that formation configurations are able to meet the requirements of space missions,

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Collision Avoidance Algorithm for Satellite Formation Reconfiguration under the Linearized Central Gravitational Fields [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2013
A collision-free formation reconfiguration trajectory subject to the linearized Hill’s dynamics of relative motion is analytically developed by extending an algorithm for gravity-free space.

Sliding Mode Control with Sliding Perturbation Observer-Based Strategy for Reducing Scratch Formation in Hot Rolling Process

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
In a hot rolling process, excessive friction between rollers and steel plates may lead to the formation of scratches on the steel plate. To reduce scratch formation in the finishing mill of the hot rolling process, two techniques are proposed in this ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
