The Precision Validation of the Precise Baseline Determination for Satellite Formation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2011
The needs for satellite formation flying are gradually increasing to perform the advanced space missions in remote sensing and observation of the space or Earth.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Fully Distributed Robust Formation Flying Control of Drones Swarm Based on Minimal Virtual Leader Information

open access: yesDrones, 2022
This paper studies the robust formation flying problem for a swarm of drones, which are modeled as uncertain second order systems. By making use of minimal virtual leader information, a fully distributed robust control scheme is proposed, which includes ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Finite-Time Anti-Saturated Formation Tracking Control of Multiple Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: A Performance Tuning Way

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
A highly effective control method is very important to guarantee the safety of the formation of flying missions for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), especially in the presence of complex flying environments and actuator constraints.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Passivity-Based Control with Disturbance Observer of Electromagnetic Formation Flight Spacecraft in the Port-Hamiltonian Framework

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Satellite formation flying technology currently represents a focal point in space mission research. Traditional spacecraft payload performance and lifespan are often constrained by propellant limitations.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

On Formation Deployment for Spinning Tethered Formation Flying

open access: yesJOURNAL OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY FOR AERONAUTICAL AND SPACE SCIENCES, 2005
The concern with a spinning tethered formation flying system has been recently growing because it can keep the formation precisely enough for synthetic aperture radar and interferometry applications. The system also attracts attention because it is expected to be able to deploy and maintain membrane structures to realize a solar sail spacecraft.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified
