Cationic Boron Formazanate Dyes** [PDF]

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, 2021
Abstract Incorporation of cationic boron atoms into molecular frameworks is an established strategy for creating chemical species with unusual bonding and reactivity but is rarely thought of as a way of enhancing molecular optoelectronic properties.

Diverse Reactions of Formazanate/Formazan with Tetrylenes: Reduction, C−H Bond Activation, Substitution and Addition [PDF]

open access: hybridChemistry – A European Journal, 2023
AbstractThe reactivity of the formazanate potassium salt [LtBuK(thf)] (LtBu=PhNNC(4‐tBuPh)NNPh) with the group 14 chlorotetrylenes [{PhC(tBuN)2}ECl] (E=Si, Ge, Sn) was investigated. Three corresponding compounds with unique configurations were formed, demonstrating the diverse reactivity of the system.

The MTT assay application to measure the viability of spermatozoa: a variety of the assay protocols [PDF]

open access: yesOpen Veterinary Journal, 2021
The MTT reduction assay is one of the methods used to evaluate the viability of sperm. In the assay, a tetrazolium component (MTT) is converted into MTT formazan by some specific enzymes in the viable cells.

Near‐Infrared Boron Difluoride Formazanate Dyes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, 2021
AbstractNear‐infrared (NIR) dyes are sought after for their utility in light harvesting, bioimaging, and light‐mediated therapies. Since long‐wavelength photoluminescence typically involves extensive π‐conjugated systems of double bonds and aromatic rings, it is often assumed that NIR dyes have to be large molecules that require complex syntheses.

Genetic obesity increases pancreatic expression of mitochondrial proteins which regulate cholesterol efflux in BRIN-BD11 insulinoma cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Pancreatic β-cells are sensitive to fluctuations in cholesterol content, which can damage the insulin secretion pathway, contributing to the aetiology of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Hypoxic pre-conditioning increases the infiltration of endothelial cells into scaffolds for dermal regeneration pre-seeded with mesenchymal stem cells. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Many therapies using mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) rely on their ability to produce and release paracrine signals with chemotactic and pro-angiogenic activity.
