Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Study on Forming Limit of Tubes

open access: yes, 2003
The objective of this study is to establish the Forming Limit Diagram (FLD) of tubes. An experimental system of tube hydroforming, the electrical chemical etching method and the image process system are used to carry out the sheet metal forming test and ...

Artificial neural network-based prediction of complete forming limit curves for steel in sheet metal forming

open access: yesJournal of Alloys and Metallurgical Systems
Forming Limit Curve (FLC) is crucial for predicting material formability and preventing defects in the sheet metal forming industry. Traditionally, FLCs are determined through Nakajima and Marciniak tests, which assess the material's response to various ...

Application of Different Hill’s Yield Criteria to Predict Limit Strains for Aerospace Titanium and Aluminum Sheet Alloys [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Design and Manufacturing Technology, 2014
More recently, Titanium and aluminum alloys are gaining more interests to be implemented in hydro-forming applications. It is necessary to predict forming limits for these sheet alloys.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Forming Limit Diagram of Magnesium Alloy ZK60 at Elevated Temperature

open access: yes, 2011
The forming limit diagram of magnesium alloy ZK60 was developed with Hill’s instability criterion and M-K analysis. The relationship of forming limit with stain path, temperature and the thickness irregular coefficient were analyzed.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Bifurcation analysis on formability coupled with microstructural evolution of dual-phase steels subjected to various stress states

open access: yesNext Materials
Forming limit serves as a critical metric in evaluating the formability of advanced sheet metals. Unlike the plane stress state in conventional sheet processing technologies, compressive normal stress and even more intricate stress states play a ...

Research on Al-alloy sheet forming formability during warm/hot sheet hydroforming based on elliptical warm bulging test

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
An elliptical warm/hot sheet bulging test under different temperatures and pressure rates was carried out to predict Al-alloy sheet forming limit during warm/hot sheet hydroforming.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified
