Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Intelligent Forms Processing

IBM Systems Journal, 1990
The automatic reading of optically scanned forms consists of two major components: extraction of the data image from the form and interpretation of the image as coded alphanumerics. The second component is also known as optical character recognition, or OCR.

The processing of form documents

Proceedings of 2nd International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition (ICDAR '93), 2002
An overview of an approach to the generic modeling and processing of known forms is presented. The system provides a methodology by which models are generated from regions in the document based on their usage. Automatic extraction of an optimal set of features to be used for registration is proposed, and it is shown how specialized detectors can be ...

Intelligent forms processing system

Machine Vision and Applications, 1992
This paper describes an intelligent forms processing system (IFPS) which provides capabilities for automatically indexing form documents for storage/retrieval to/from a document library and for capturing information from scanned form images using intelligent character recognition (ICR). The system also provides capabilities for efficiently storing form

Validation of automated forms processing

Computers in Biology and Medicine, 1998
Abstract We have used the computer program TeleformTM for automated forms processing (AFP) and have compared error rates, time consumption, and expenses with those of single or double manual data entry. For choice fields the error rate for AFP was very low and comparable to double manual data entry, while for numeric recognition the error rate was ...
