Forward-secure commercial key escrow systems

Proceedings Tenth IEEE International Workshop on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises. WET ICE 2001, 2002
Key escrow system has been studied widely in recent years to reduce the gap between the needs for individual privacy and the needs for public security. In this paper, we survey three popular key escrow products of Netscape's, VeriSign's and Entrust's. And we also propose forward-secure KESs (Key Escrow Systems) and analyze their security.

On the performance, feasibility, and use of forward-secure signatures

Proceedings of the 10th ACM conference on Computer and communication security - CCS '03, 2003
Forward-secure signatures (FSSs) have recently received much attention from the cryptographic theory community as a potentially realistic way to mitigate many of the difficulties digital signatures face with key exposure. However, no previous works have explored the practical performance of these proposed constructions in real-world applications, nor ...

Proceedings of the 2016 ACM SIGSAC Conference on Computer and Communications Security, 2016
Searchable Symmetric Encryption aims at making possible searching over an encrypted database stored on an untrusted server while keeping privacy of both the queries and the data, by allowing some small controlled leakage to the server. Recent work shows that dynamic schemes -- in which the data is efficiently updatable -- leaking some information on ...

Weak Forward Security in Mediated RSA

2003
Mediated RSA (mRSA) [1] is a simple and practical method of splitting RSA private keys between the user and the Security Mediator (SEM). Neither the user nor the SEM can cheat each other since a signature or a decryption must involve both parties. mRSA allows fast and fine-grained control (revocation) of users' security priviliges.

Efficient Group Signature with Forward Secure Revocation

2009
Forward secure revocation for group signature allows a revoked group member to preserve the anonymity of its signatures generated before the revocation. Most of the existing schemes of this type either have the signing or verifying complexity linear to the group size or the number of revoked members, or require the updates of signing key or public key ...
