Old and new approaches to LIBOR modeling

open access: yes, 2010
In this article, we review the construction and properties of some popular approaches to modeling LIBOR rates. We discuss the following frameworks: classical LIBOR market models, forward price models and Markov-functional models.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Influence of Sea Level Anomaly on Underwater Gravity Gradient Measurements

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Considering the theoretical research needs of gravity gradient detection and navigation, this study uses the right rectangular prism method to calculate the disturbing gravity gradient from sea level anomalies in the range of 5° × 5° in the Kuroshio ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Petrophysics Parameter Inversion and Its Application Based on the Transient Electromagnetic Method

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The transient electromagnetic (TEM) method is a widely used geophysical technique for detecting subsurface electrical structures. However, its inversion results are typically limited to resistivity parameters, making it challenging to directly infer key ...

Density structure of the crust in the Emeishan large igneous province revealed by the Lijiang- Guiyang gravity profile

open access: yesEarth and Planetary Physics, 2018
The Emeishan large igneous province (hereafter named by its acronym ELIP) is the first accepted large igneous region in China. The current study tries to reconstruct the density structure of the crust in this region.

3D Airborne EM Forward Modeling Based on Time-Domain Spectral Element Method

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Airborne electromagnetic (AEM) method uses aircraft as a carrier to tow EM instruments for geophysical survey. Because of its huge amount of data, the traditional AEM data inversions take one-dimensional (1D) models.

Testing-Based Forward Model Selection [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2017
This paper defines and studies a variable selection procedure called Testing-Based Forward Model Selection. The procedure inductively selects covariates which increase predictive accuracy into a working statistical regression model until a stopping criterion is met.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
