Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Geochemical Insights into Pyrite from the Karoli Orebody, Idrija Mercury Deposit (Slovenia): An LA-ICP-MS Trace Element Study

open access: yesCrystals
The Idrija mercury deposit represents one of the largest mercury formations globally, ranking second only to the Almadén deposit in Spain. The deposit has been exploited for more than five centuries and represents one of the most historically significant

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Cr Deposition and Poisoning of BaCo0.8(Zr0.8Y0.2)0.2O3-δ Air Electrode of Protonic Ceramic Fuel Cells

open access: yesEnergies
Chromium-forming metallic interconnectors (ICs) are generally used to assemble protonic ceramic fuel cell stacks (PCFCs). Thus, Cr poisoning is a potential threat to the performance and stability of PCFCs.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Bankensystem und Industriefinanzierung in der Tschechoslowakischen Republik (1918-1931)

open access: yesÖsterreichische Zeitschrift für Geschichtswissenschaften, 1993
The newly created Czechoslovak Republic inherited the essential characteristics of the former Austro-Hungarian banking system. The process of nostrification of industrial enterprises and branch offices of Viennese banks brought about major changes.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Analisis Lendutan Model Pelat Fleksibel dengan Tiang Perbesaran Ujung dan Pelat Tidak Rapat Tanah Pada Tanah Pasir

open access: yesSemesta Teknika, 2015
Problems in sandy soil may occur when sand has low density, uniform gradation and thick deposit. Flexible plate foundation may used in this condition but plate deflection still high.
