Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Coupled-channels Faddeev AGS calculation of $K^{-}ppn$ and $K^{-}ppp$ quasi-bound states

open access: yes, 2016
Using separable $\bar{K}N-\pi\Sigma$ potentials in the Faddeev equations, we calculated the binding energies and widths of the $K^{-}pp$, $K^{-}ppn$ and $K^{-}ppp$ quasi-bound states on the basis of three- and four-body Alt-Grassberger-Sandhas equations ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Linear perturbation renormalization group method for Ising-like spin systems

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2013
The linear perturbation group transformation (LPRG) is used to study the thermodynamics of the axial next-nearest-neighbor Ising model with four spin interactions (extended ANNNI) in a field. The LPRG for weakly interacting Ising chains is presented. The

Runge-Kutta methods for third order weak approximation of SDEs with multidimensional additive noise

open access: yes, 2010
A new class of third order Runge-Kutta methods for stochastic differential equations with additive noise is introduced. In contrast to Platen's method, which to the knowledge of the author has been up to now the only known third order Runge-Kutta scheme ...

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Hyperspectral Image Super-Resolution via Wavelet Decomposition Guidance and Cross-Dimensional Feature Interaction

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Hyperspectral images aggregate abundant spectral information, but their spatial resolution is often limited due to constraints inherent in sensor design.
