Digital Control of a Three-Phase Four-Leg Inverter to Feeds Non-Linear Loads
IEEE Latin America Transactions, 2021This paper presents a new control strategy for three-phase four-leg inverters, to meet the requirements of total and individual harmonic content imposed by IEC 61000-2-2 when the inverter feeds a non-linear reference load defined by IEC 62040-3.

Concise Modulation Strategies for Four-Leg Voltage Source Inverters
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2004The continuous, discontinuous pulse-width modulation (PWM) schemes and a novel space vector modulation methodology are proposed in this paper for four-leg dc-ac inverters. Using a space vector definition that includes the zero sequence voltage component and partitioning the feasible sixteen modes into two separate sets - one set having zero sequence ...

Research on Continuous Control Set Model Predictive Control of Three-Phase Four-Leg Inverter
2024 IEEE 10th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (IPEMC2024-ECCE Asia)This paper proposed a Continuous Control Set Model Predictive Control (CCS-MPC) strategy for a three-phase four-leg T-type three-level inverter. The topology includes three legs A, B and C, with an additional neutral leg N, and a smoothing inductor Ln ...

Modeling of a four-leg inverter based DSTATCOM for load compensation
2010 International Conference on Power System Technology, 2010This paper derives a generalized mathematical model of a three-phase, four-wire, four-leg voltage source inverter topology for a DSTATCOM application. The four-leg inverter is operated in a current controlled mode by a suitable control strategy, to inject compensator currents in order to achieve harmonic compensation, load balancing and power factor ...

Active Filter Based on Four-Leg Inverter and PQ Theory
2019 21st International Middle East Power Systems Conference (MEPCON), 2019The active power filter and unbalance compensator systems play an important role in power quality enhancement. This paper introduces the active power filter based on the 4-leg inverter for 4-wire applications. This system is capable to filter the source current from both harmonics and unbalance components.

Novel random pulse position modulation for three-phase four-leg inverters
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part I: Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, 2018Aiming at improving the harmonic spectra spreading effect, two randomized pulse position modulation strategies are proposed for three-phase four-leg inverters. Based on the volt-second balance law and the fixed switching frequency, the first proposed strategy places the center randomly during one carrier cycle with a limited degree of freedom, and the

Digital-Scalar PWM Approaches Applied to Four-Leg Voltage-Source Inverters
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2013In this paper, we present two modulation schemes for generating unbalanced voltages by means of four-leg voltage-source inverters. The first modulation is an extended scheme of a digital-scalar pulsewidth modulation previously proposed for controlling three-leg inverters.

Model predictive control of quasi-Z source three-phase four-leg inverter
IECON 2015 - 41st Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2015This paper presents a model predictive control (MPC) scheme for quasi-Z source (qZS) three-phase four-leg inverters. In order to cope with drawbacks of the traditional voltage source inverters (VSI)s, the qZS three-phase four-leg inverter topology is proposed in this study. To improve control capability of the controller, the MPC scheme is used.
