Observation of Angle Switching of Dressed Four-Wave Mixing Image
We experimentally report that angle-control dynamics in the nonlinear propagation of the images of the probe, generated four-wave mixing (FWM) and fluorescence signals beams in FWM process in a cascade three-level, as well as a two-level atomic systems ...

Four-Wave Optical Parametric Amplification in a Raman-Active Gas
Four-wave optical parametric amplification (FWOPA) in a Raman-active medium is experimentally investigated by use of an air-filled hollow fiber. A femtosecond pump pulse shorter than the period of molecular motion excites the coherent molecular motion of

Degenerate Four-Wave Mixing in Phycoerythrin Dye-Doped Nanoparticles
We have generated a phase-conjugate (PC) wave from nanoparticles with a new microscopic system proposed. The microscope includes a confocal system with a degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) system, which plays a major role in generating the phase ...

Spontaneous Four-Wave Mixing in an Irregular Nanofiber
The features of biphotons states generated via spontaneous four-wave mixing in nanofibers with a variable cross-section are studied. The spectral amplitude of the biphoton field is calculated and the effects of interference and phase modulation of the ...

Dynamics of fermionic four-wave mixing [PDF]
We study the dynamics of a beam of fermions diffracted off a density grating formed by fermionic atoms in the limit of a large grating. An exact description of the system in terms of particle-hole operators is developed. We use a combination of analytical and numerical methods to quantitatively explore the Raman-Nath and the Bragg regimes of ...

All Optical Signal-Processing Techniques Utilizing Four Wave Mixing
Four Wave Mixing (FWM) based optical signal-processing techniques are reviewed. The use of FWM in arithmetical operation like subtraction, wavelength conversion and pattern recognition are three key parts discussed in this paper after a brief ...

A novel four-wave mixing compensator [PDF]
We propose and demonstrate a novel four-wave-mixing (FWM) compensator made of a highly nonlinear fiber and a pump laser. This technique utilizes the additional pi/2 phase delay occurring in every FWM process. Thus, the FWM components generated in the transmission fiber can be cancelled out by the FWM components generated within the FWM compensator.

Two-dimensional plasmonic waveguides for nanolasing and four-wave mixing
Plasmonic waveguides are an essential element of nanoscale coherent sources, including nanolasers and four-wave mixing (FWM) devices. Here we report how the design of the plasmonic waveguide needs to be guided by the ultimate application.
