Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

Sensitive detection of sodium in a flame using parametric four-wave mixing and seeded parametric four-wave mixing [PDF]
Two-photon resonant parametric four-wave mixing and a newly developed variant called seeded parametric four-wave mixing are used to detect trace quantities of sodium in a flame.

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Real-time phase conjugate window for one-way optical field imaging through a distortion [PDF]
We demonstrate one-way optical field imaging through a distorting medium using a four-wave mixing implementation of real-time holography. Information can be transmitted at an arbitrarily fast rate as long as the mixing medium can respond to changes in ...

This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.

Controllable Multiwave Mixing Talbot Effect
We theoretically study the Talbot effects resulted from the four-wave mixing and six-wave mixing signals, which are periodically modulated due to the coherence control effect.

Spontaneous Four-Wave Mixing of de Broglie Waves: Beyond Optics [PDF]
We investigate the atom-optical analog of degenerate four-wave mixing of photons by colliding two Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) of metastable helium and measuring the resulting momentum distribution of the scattered atoms with a time and space ...

Supercontinuum generation and intermodal four-wave mixing in a step-index few-mode fibre
We demonstrate broadband supercontinuum generation from 560 nm up to 2350 nm by coupling a Q-switched picosecond microchip laser at 1064 nm into a 15 μm-core step-index germanium-doped silica fiber, designed to support five spatial modes at 1064 nm.

We present the first experimental observations of phononic four-wave mixing (FWM) in a piezoelectrically actuated free-free beam microstructure. The FWM response is facilitated by the intrinsic coupling between a driven mode and an auto-parametrically excited sub-harmonic mode.
