Arithmetic Means of Fourier Coefficients [PDF]
Given the Fourier coefficients of an even continuous function, we find a necessary and sufficient condition such that their arithmetic means are the Fourier coefficients of an odd continuous function. A similar result is shown for those Lipschitz classes whose elements are automatically equivalent to continuous functions.

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

The growing demand for lightweight, nontoxic, and multifunctional gamma shielding materials has intensified efforts to find alternatives to conventional lead and aluminum‐based protectants. In this work, we develop epoxy quartz fabric composites reinforced with cobalt chloride (CoCl2) microparticles, fabricated via hand lay‐up with varying filler ...

Computing coefficients of Fourier series
Some approaches to the numerical evaluation of Fourier coefficients are outlined. Numerical quadrature formulas of Filon type are developed using higher-order polynomial approximations, in particular third- and fifth-order Hermite interpolants. Adaptive methods of implementation are described.

Surface Tension Measurement of Ti‐6Al‐4V by Falling Droplet Method in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
In this article, the temperature‐dependent surface tension of free falling, oscillating Ti‐6Al‐4V droplets is investigated in both argon and monosilane doped, oxygen‐free atmosphere. Droplet temperature and oscillation are captured with one single high‐speed camera, and the surface tension is calculated with Rayleigh's formula.

Laguerre-Volterra Filters Optimization Based on Laguerre Spectra
New batch and adaptive methods are proposed to optimize the Volterra kernels expansions on a set of Laguerre functions. Each kernel is expanded on an independent Laguerre basis. The expansion coefficients, also called Fourier coefficients, are estimated

FOURIER COEFFICIENTS FOR THE LIGHT CURVES OF 62 MIRA-TYPE STARS
For 62 Mira-type stars the values of periods have been redetermined; the mean curves have been fitted by a trigonometric polynomial with an optimal number of harmonics; a number of the parameters of the light curve have been calculated (amplitude of ...
