Evaluating FPGA Accelerator Performance with a Parameterized OpenCL Adaptation of the HPCChallenge Benchmark Suite [PDF]
FPGAs have found increasing adoption in data center applications since a new generation of high-level tools have become available which noticeably reduce development time for FPGA accelerators and still provide high quality of results. There is however no high-level benchmark suite available which specifically enables a comparison of FPGA architectures,

Existing clinical approaches for assessing anesthesia depth often rely on physiological and behavioral indicators, which can be unreliable due to uncertain correlation with patient consciousness. This study presents a neuromorphic SNN with STDP, implemented on an field‐programmable gate array (FPGA) platform, enabling real‐time iEEG‐based assessment of

Proposal of ROS-compliant FPGA Component for Low-Power Robotic Systems [PDF]
In recent years, robots are required to be autonomous and their robotic software are sophisticated. Robots have a problem of insufficient performance, since it cannot equip with a high-performance microprocessor due to battery-power operation. On the other hand, FPGA devices can accelerate specific functions in a robot system without increasing power ...

First in‐Vacuum In Situ X‐AFM/XRF/STXM Soft X‐Rays Combination Measurements and Characterization
ABSTRACT This manuscript details the advancements in developing a unique multimodal imaging setup, specifically the integration of X‐AFM on a synchrotron beamline that currently combines STXM and XRF. This triplet configuration operates within the soft x‐ray regime (< 2.5 keV) and necessitates high vacuum instrumentation, targeting sub‐micrometric ...

Design and Implementation of High-throughput PCIe with DMA Architecture between FPGA and PowerPC [PDF]
We designed and implemented a direct memory access (DMA) architecture of PCI-Express(PCIe) between Xilinx Field Program Gate Array(FPGA) and Freescale PowerPC. The DMA architecture based on FPGA is compatible with the Xilinx PCIe core while the DMA architecture based on POWERPC is compatible with VxBus of VxWorks.
