Bactericidal Effect of Nanopulse Generated Plasma on Bacillus subtilis Spores at Different Humidity Levels

open access: yesPlasma Processes and Polymers, Volume 23, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study found that cold plasma can effectively inactivate resistant bacterial spores, especially in high humidity conditions. By adjusting humidity, distance, and exposure time, the treatment became much more effective without using more energy or heat.

Stress‐Induced Reorganization of Proteasomes Through Diffusion and Cytoskeleton‐Dependent Mechanisms

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 2, 8 January 2026.
Proteotoxic stress induced by alpha‐synuclein aggregates drives rapid, cytoskeleton‐dependent re‐localization of mammalian proteasomes and formation of transient aggregate‐associated droplets (TAADs). Single‐molecule localization microscopy, light‐sheet imaging, nanopipette injection, single‐cell patch clamp, and single‐particle tracking reveal a ...

An Extended Amplitude Range Readout Circuit for Charged Particle Detection–BEAR 2

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Charge sensitive amplifiers (CSA) form the first stage of most detector readout circuits. The operating range of the readout circuits depends on the saturation limits of the Charge sensitive amplifiers, thereby limiting the range of the detector system as well. A number of methods have been introduced to extend the dynamic range of the readout
