WHEN INVESTIGATING FRACTAL PHENOMENA, THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS ARE FUNDAMENTAL FOR THE APPLIED RESEARCHER: (1) What are essential statistical properties of 1/f noise? (2) Which estimators are available for measuring fractality? (3) Which measurement instruments are appropriate and how are they applied?

This appendix gives a lower bound of the Billingsley-Hausdorff dimension of a level set related to Birkhoff average in the “non-compact” symbolic space $\mathbb{N}^{\mathbb{N}}$, defined by Gibbs measure.

An overview is given of the known relations between various dynamical properties of fractal structure, such as vibration density, diffusion and electrical resistivity. Examples are given from the family of walk-generated fractals: SAW with and without bridges, k-tolerant walks and randorn walks.

Algebraic features of algorithm composition for calculating fractal structure [PDF]
The construction methods analysis of known geometric fractals allows us to reveal algebraic features of fractal algorithms composition. The main concept of the analysis results is fractal operators which are basic operations for constructing fractals of ...

The Structure of Mn and Co Nanoparticles Obtained in Direct Surfactant Micelles [PDF]
The article deals with synthesis of Co and Mn nanoparticles in micellar aqueous solutions of cetyl pyridinium chloride. The nanoparticles (3-4В nm) and the spherical fractals (50, 150, 500 nm) have been identified with electron spectroscopy, dynamic ...

Structural Properties of Molecular Sierpiński Triangle Fractals
The structure of fractals at nano and micro scales is decisive for their physical properties. Generally, statistically self-similar (random) fractals occur in natural systems, and exactly self-similar (deterministic) fractals are artificially created ...

Explicit Spectral Decimation for a Class of Self-Similar Fractals
The method of spectral decimation is applied to an infinite collection of self-similar fractals. The sets considered are a generalization of the Sierpinski Gasket to higher dimensions; they belong to the class of nested fractals and are thus very ...

Fluorescent Nanosensor for Indole‐3‐Propionic Acid Detection in Gut Health Monitoring
This work introduces a fluorescent nanosensor system with two optical modalities for detection of indole‐3‐propionic acid (IPA) gut metabolite: (1) blue‐emitting cationic conjugated polyelectrolyte (CP3) and (2) near‐infrared (NIR)‐emitting CP3‐wrapped single‐walled carbon nanotube (SWNT).

A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.
