Persistence in us interest rates: Is it stable over time? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper analyses persistence in US interest rates. It focuses on the Federal Funds effective rate, whose degree of persistence is modelled using fractional integration, monthly from July 1954 through March 2008.

CPX‐351 in High‐Risk Relapsed Pediatric Acute Leukemia: Real‐World Phase 1 Data Establishing the FDA‐Approved Dose

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Outcomes for pediatric relapsed/refractory (R/R) acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remain dismal. CPX‐351, a liposomal formulation of cytarabine and daunorubicin, may have less off‐target toxicities than traditional chemotherapies and has shown improved outcomes for adults with newly diagnosed therapy‐related AML.

Are fire intensity and burn severity associated? Advancing our understanding of FRP and NBR metrics from Himawari-8/9 and Sentinel-2

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Earth Observations and Geoinformation
Burn severity has been widely studied. Typical approaches use spectral differencing indices from remotely sensed data to extrapolate in-situ severity assessments.

Persistence and Time Trends in the Temperatures in Spain

open access: yesAdvances in Meteorology, 2009
This paper deals with the analysis of the temperatures in several locations in Spain during the last 50 years. We focus on the degree of persistence of the series, measured through a fractional differencing parameter. This is crucial to properly estimate

Pancreas, Muscle, and Subcutaneous Fat Atrophy in Patients Undergoing Radiation for Neuroblastoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Radiation therapy (RT) is part of standard‐of‐care therapy in high‐risk neuroblastoma (HR‐NBL) but can significantly affect nearby tissue. The objectives of this study were (1) to characterize changes in pancreas volume after RT and (2) to characterize changes in body composition, including body weight percentile ...

Estimating persistence in the volatility of asset returns with signal plus noise models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper examines the degree of persistence in the volatility of financial time series using a Long Memory Stochastic Volatility (LMSV) model. Specifically, it employs a Gaussian semiparametric (or local Whittle) estimator of the memory parameter ...

Pass-by-Pass Ambiguity Resolution in Single GPS Receiver PPP Using Observations for Two Sequential Days: An Exploratory Study

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
“Pass-by-pass” or “track-to-track” ambiguity resolution removes Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) satellite hardware delays between adjacent undifferenced (UD) ambiguities, which is often applied in precise orbit determination (POD) for Low Earth

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Non-Linearities And Fractional Integration In The Us Unemployment Rate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
This paper proposes a model of the US unemployment rate which accounts for both its asymmetry and its long memory. Our approach introduces fractional integration and nonlinearities simultaneously into the same framework, using a Lagrange Multiplier ...
