Modified wavelets–based algorithm for nonlinear delay differential equations of fractional order

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2017
Most of the physical phenomena located around us are nonlinear in nature and their solutions are of great significance for scientists and engineers. In order to have a better representation of these physical phenomena, fractional calculus is developed ...

The double auxiliary equations method and its application to space-time fractional nonlinear equations

open access: yesJournal of Ocean Engineering and Science, 2019
This paper reflects the execution of a reliable technique which we proposed as a new method called the double auxiliary equations method for constructing new traveling wave solutions of nonlinear fractional differential equation.

Olaparib synergy screen reveals Exemestane induces replication stress in triple‐negative breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Screening 166 FDA‐approved anticancer drugs identifies the aromatase inhibitor Exemestane as a synergistic partner of PARP inhibitor Olaparib in BRCA‐proficient triple‐negative breast cancer. Exemestane induces ROS‐mediated replication stress, enhancing DNA damage and apoptosis alongside Olaparib.

Solving Undamped and Damped Fractional Oscillators via Integral Rohit Transform

open access: yesAl-Mustansiriyah Journal of Science
Background: The dynamics of fractional oscillators are generally described by fractional differential equations, which include the fractional derivative of the Caputo or Riemann-Liouville type.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Large Contractions on Quasi-Metric Spaces with an Application to Nonlinear Fractional Differential Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
In this manuscript, we introduce a new notion: a Berinde type ( α , ψ ) -contraction mapping. Thereafter, we investigate not only the existence, but also the uniqueness of a fixed point of such mappings in the setting of right-complete quasi-metric ...

Characterizing epithelial‐mesenchymal transition‐linked heterogeneity in breast cancer circulating tumor cells at a single‐cell level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In over 50% of non‐metastatic breast cancer patients, circulating tumor cells (CTCs) along the whole epithelial‐mesenchymal transition spectrum are detected. Total CTC number and individual phenotypes relate to aggressive disease characteristics, including lymph node involvement and higher tumor proliferation. At the single‐cell level, mesenchymal CTCs

The decay rate for a fractional differential equation

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2004
The fractional differential equation \[ u_{tt}(t,x)=\int^t_0 k(t-s)u_{sxx}(s,x)\,ds+u_{xx}(t,x),\quad t>0,x\in(0,1)\tag{1} \] with boundary conditions (2) \(u(t,0)=u(t,1)=0\), and initial conditions (3) \(u(0,x)=u_0(x)\) and \(u_t(0,x)=u_1(x)\), \(x\in(0,1)\) is considered here. The kernel \(k(t)\) is taken in the form \(t^{-\alpha}e^{-\beta t}\), \(0<

Not just a by‐product: circular DNA molecules derived from V(D)J recombination are linked to worse prognosis in B‐cell leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Gao et al. report that circular DNA molecules created as by‐products of V(D)J recombination during lymphocyte maturation (ESCs) can replicate and be retained for much longer than previously thought in healthy cells. In BCP‐ALL cells, increased ESC abundance correlates with a greater chance of relapse likely mediated by their ability to induce genome ...

Oscillation results for a fractional order dynamic equation on time scales with conformable fractional derivative

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2018
In this paper, we investigate oscillatory and asymptotic properties for a class of fractional order dynamic equations on time scales, where the fractional derivative is defined in the sense of the conformable fractional derivative.
