Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.

A Yamazaki-type estimate to a space-time fractional diffusion equation

open access: yesCQD Revista Eletrônica Paulista de Matemática, 2022
In this work, we develop the Yamazaki inequality and estimates of the Mittag-Leffler family associated with the space-time fractional diffusion equation in 𝐿𝑝-weak spaces.

An efficient fractional polynomial method for space fractional diffusion equations

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2018
In this paper, we develop a new approximation technique for solving space fractional diffusion equation. The method of solution is based on fractional order Legendre function with the concept of Caputo’s definition of fractional derivatives.

Generalized diffusion equation with nonlocality of space-time. Memory function modelling

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2020
We presented a general approach for obtaining the generalized transport equations with fractional derivatives by using the Liouville equation with fractional derivatives for a system of classical particles and Zubarev's nonequilibrium statistical ...

Creating Ti–Fe α/β Alloys by Diffusion‐Driven Solid‐State Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study proposes making alloys containing fast diffusing elements that are difficult to produce by ingot metallurgy, by diffusion‐driven solid‐state HIP processing of elemental powders and low‐temperature homogenisation. Here, novel Fe‐Ti α–β alloys are formed having fine α–β lamellae, a small β prior grain size without significant intermetallics ...

Two definitions of the generalized Cauchy problem for semi-linear diffusion equation with fractional derivative with respect to time

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2013
Different equivalent definitions of the Cauchy problem for semi-linear diffusion equation with fractional derivative with respect to time and with the generalized function in the initial condition are offered. The existence and uniqueness theorem and the

Solid‐State Diffusion and Intermetallic Phase Formation in Roll‐Bonded Mg–Zn Composites With Kirigami‐Patterned Inlay

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.
