A code arithmetic approach for quaternary code designs and its application to (1/64)th-fractions [PDF]
The study of good nonregular fractional factorial designs has received significant attention over the last two decades. Recent research indicates that designs constructed from quaternary codes (QC) are very promising in this regard. The present paper aims at exploring the fundamental structure and developing a theory to characterize the wordlengths and

This article investigates optimal processing conditions for the laser‐based powder bed fusion of WE43. To limit the interaction with remaining oxygen, a 3 vol% hydrogen admixture to the inert gas is investigated. Furthermore, heat treatments are investigated in the range of 250–350 °C for 48 h.

Gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) granular hydrogel scaffolds (GHS) are fabricated using a generalized two‐step photocrosslinking approach to yield stable (non‐dissolving) microgels suitable for in situ covalent assembly under physiological conditions. A phase diagram is developed to define the interplay between individual microgel stability and scaffold ...

Mexican consumers' attitudes toward irradiated and imported apples
Abstract This study centers on analyzing Mexican consumers' willingness to pay (WTP) for imported US fresh apples subjected to irradiation, contrasting it with the more prevalent postharvest chemical treatments. We collect data using a survey tool in Qualtrics designed to explore the impact of information dissemination through two distinct narrative ...

Abstract Packaging of fresh fruits and vegetables is standard in many grocery stores. This mixed methods study aims to identify the role packaging plays in consumer choice and what packaging material consumers prefer. We analyzed data from quantitative stated preference experiments with a quota sample of 485 consumers living in Germany.

Design Selection for Two-Level Multi-Stratum Factorial Experiments Based on Swarm Intelligence Optimization [PDF]
For unstructured experimental units, the minimum aberration due to Fries and Hunter (1980) is a popular criterion for choosing regular fractional factorial designs. Following which, many related studies have focused on multi-stratum factorial designs, in which multiple error terms arise from the complicated structures of experimental units.

Are all meats substitutes? A basket‐and‐expenditure‐based approach
Abstract This study examines the relationship among animal‐based meat and plant‐based meat alternatives (PBMAs) using a basket‐and‐expenditure‐based choice experiment. In particular, we examine whether animal‐based meat products are substitutes or complements with PBMAs.
