Loan and nonloan flows in the Australian interbank network [PDF]

open access: yesPhysica A 391 (2012) 2867-2882, 2012
High-value transactions between Australian banks are settled in the Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS) administered by the Reserve Bank of Australia. RITS operates on a real-time gross settlement (RTGS) basis and settles payments sourced from the SWIFT, the Austraclear, and the interbank transactions entered directly into RITS. In this

Functional assessment of a left coronary-pulmonary artery fistula by coronary flow reserve [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We report a 71-year-old man who presented with atypical chest pain. Coronary angiography did not reveal left main or proximal left anterior descending coronary artery stenosis, but a fistulous communication with a stronger tube-like fistula was present ...

Deep learning analysis of the myocardium in coronary CT angiography for identification of patients with functionally significant coronary artery stenosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In patients with coronary artery stenoses of intermediate severity, the functional significance needs to be determined. Fractional flow reserve (FFR) measurement, performed during invasive coronary angiography (ICA), is most often used in clinical ...

On the Impact of Fluid Structure Interaction in Blood Flow Simulations: Stenotic Coronary Artery Benchmark [PDF]

open access: yesVietnam J. Math. (2021), 2020
We study the impact of using fluid-structure interactions (FSI) to simulate blood flow in a large stenosed artery. We compare typical flow configurations using Navier-Stokes in a rigid geometry setting to a fully coupled FSI model. The relevance of vascular elasticity is investigated with respect to several questions of clinical importance.

Effect of Varying Hemodynamic and Vascular Conditions on Fractional Flow Reserve: An In Vitro Study

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2016
BackgroundThe aim of this study was to investigate the impact of varying hemodynamic conditions on fractional flow reserve (ratio of pressure distal [Pd] and proximal [Pa] to stenosis under hyperemia) in an in vitro setting.

The haemodynamic effects of collateral donation to a chronic total occlusion : implications for patient management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Physiological lesion assessment in the form of Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) is now well established for the purpose of guiding multi-vessel revascularization.

Safety of the deferral of coronary revascularization on the basis of instantaneous wave-free ratio and fractional flow reserve measurements in stable coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndromes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical outcomes of patients deferred from coronary revascularization on the basis of instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR) or fractional flow reserve (FFR) measurements in stable angina pectoris ...

CT-FFR: Clinical Application

open access: yesMajalah Kardiologi Indonesia, 2018
Invasive fractional flow reserve (FFR) is the gold standard for guiding decision making to identify patients who would benefit from revascularization. Now, computed tomography can also do that by using computational fluid dynamics to calculate fractional

Functional SYNTAX Score for Risk Assessment in Multivessel Coronary Artery Disease [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
ObjectivesThis study was aimed at investigating whether a fractional flow reserve (FFR)-guided SYNTAX score (SS), termed “functional SYNTAX score” (FSS), would predict clinical outcome better than the classic SS in patients with multivessel coronary ...
