Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Weak Type Inequalities for Some Integral Operators on Generalized Nonhomogeneous Morrey Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces and Applications, 2013
We prove weak type inequalities for some integral operators, especially generalized fractional integral operators, on generalized Morrey spaces of nonhomogeneous type.

Analytic Normalized Solutions of 2D Fractional Saint-Venant Equations of a Complex Variable

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2021
Saint-Venant equations describe the flow below a pressure surface in a fluid. We aim to generalize this class of equations using fractional calculus of a complex variable.

Extended Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative operator and its applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Many authors have introduced and investigated certain extended fractional derivative operators. The main object of this paper is to give an extension of the Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative operator with the extended Beta function given by ...

Integrated Fractional Resolvent Operator Function and Fractional Abstract Cauchy Problem [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We firstly prove thatβ-times integratedα-resolvent operator function ((α,β)-ROF) satisfies a functional equation which extends that ofβ-times integrated semigroup andα-resolvent operator function. Secondly, for the inhomogeneousα-Cauchy problemcDtαu(t)=Au(t)+f(t),t∈(0,T),u(0)=x0,u'(0)=x1,ifAis the generator of an(α,β)-ROF, we give the relation between ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
