USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

On weighted Atangana–Baleanu fractional operators

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
In this paper, we define the weighted Atangana–Baleanu fractional operators of Caputo sense. We obtain the solution of a related linear fractional differential equation in a closed form, and use the result to define the weighted Atangana–Baleanu ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

On the singularities of fractional differential systems, using a mathematical limiting process based on physical grounds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Fractional systems are associated with irrational transfer functions for which nonunique analytic continuations are available (from some right-half Laplace plane to a maximal domain). They involve continuous sets of singularities, namely cuts, which link

On the Rigorous Correspondence Between Operator Fractional Powers and Fractional Derivatives via the Sonine Kernel

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
Traditional operational calculus, while intuitive and effective in addressing problems in physical fractal spaces, often lacks the rigorous mathematical foundation needed for fractional operations, sometimes resulting in inconsistent outcomes. To address

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

On Fractional Symmetric Hahn Calculus

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
In this paper, we study fractional symmetric Hahn difference calculus. The new idea of the symmetric Hahn difference operator, the fractional symmetric Hahn integral, and the fractional symmetric Hahn operators of Riemann−Liouville and Caputo types
