The Visibility Graph: a new method for estimating the Hurst exponent of fractional Brownian motion
Fractional Brownian motion (fBm) has been used as a theoretical framework to study real time series appearing in diverse scientific fields. Because its intrinsic non-stationarity and long range dependence, its characterization via the Hurst parameter H ...

On simple iterative fractional order differential equations [PDF]
In this paper, the simple fractional iterative differential equation will be the focus of study Dβv(s)=vn(s), v(s0)=a. where s0, v0 ∈ I = [0, b], and 0 < β < 1.

Solution of the Fractional Bratu-Type Equation Via Fractional Residual Power Series Method
Abstract In this paper, we present numerical solution for the fractional Bratu-type equation via fractional residual power series method (FRPSM). The fractional derivatives are described in Caputo sense. The main advantage of the FRPSM in comparison with the existing methods is that the method solves the nonlinear problems without using ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Fractional derivative and formal power series
The new method of summation of divergent series for calculation of fractional derivatives of function of binomial type is presented. A new indentity for hypergeometric functions is used to justify this calculus.

Psi-Series Solution of Fractional Ginzburg-Landau Equation
One-dimensional Ginzburg-Landau equations with derivatives of noninteger order are considered. Using psi-series with fractional powers, the solution of the fractional Ginzburg-Landau (FGL) equation is derived.

This article investigates different nonlinear systems of fractional partial differential equations analytically using an attractive modified method known as the Laplace residual power series technique. Based on a combination of the Laplace transformation and the residual power series technique, we achieve analytic and approximation results in rapid ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).
